Sunday Morning Musical Improv

How many improv teams have practiced in a Mormon church, and then performed at a show called Klusterphuk? 

Just us? Yeah, we thought so. Thanks again to Nick Vatterott for having us on his hilarious and awesome show. If you haven’t seen Klusterphuk, see it. An improv group opens up, and then it’s stand-ups doing improv and improvs doing stand-ups. Hilarity ensues. 

Gotham City Improv, Friday 6/24, 10 pm

Be there, or be elsewhere! We’re really excited about this show. We don’t exactly who’s going to be on it yeeeeet, but you can bet it’s gonna be pretty cool. And not to brag, but our last show was hi-larious. 

PHEW! Exciting weekend finally coming to a close. We had THREE shows. THREE!

We have a show coming up this Friday, at 7 pm, at Gotham City Improv. GCI is at 48 W 21st, btwn 5th and 6th, on the 8th Floor. And we’ve got some all-star acts. 

John Friedman will be hosting and doing some hilarious stand-up. We’ve seen him a lot and we’re psyched he’s doing the show. 

Brandon Gardner and Chelsea Clarke will be doing some awesome improv. Come see these two heavy-hitters on the cheap! 

And of course, Sunday Morning will be creating musical magic for your ear spaces.

Thanks to everyone who helped put together the Up The Creek Festival! We had a blast performing. We were in the 6 pm to 8 pm slot, hosted by the incomparable CSO.

And a really great suggestion: The Twisted Clock. It sounds like an actual title to a musical, doesn’t it? Our opening is pretty different from what you might be used to, so we always love out-of-the-box suggestions.

Next up: Remember our monthly show in May is on a Friday, May 20th, at 7 pm, at Gotham City Improv. Come!

We’ll be at the Up the Creek festival, Saturday, on the 6 pm to 8 pm slot.

And planning ahead… our next show at Gotham City Improv is Friday May 20th, 7 pm.

Cuz we’re coming! Saturday, April 30th, the 6 pm to 8 pm time slot. We’re really excited to be part of this festival, so thanks UTC people!

Thanks to Froduce for having us on their show on Sunday, it was a blast. And because we’re named Sunday Morning, we’re contractually obligated to perform on some Sundays. So that takes care of April.

Our next show is… TBD! We’re working on it right now, and it’ll be soon, so BE READY. You never know when a musical improv show will spring up.

Thanks to Standard Oil and Halle Kiefer for sharing their hilarities at our show last Saturday. We had a blast, and we hope you did too.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next show, which will be sometime in April. But pesky Easter keeps getting in the way, so we’ll have to figure out a good time.

It’s that time of the month again for Sunday Morning, as we get moody and bloated with excitement over our monthly show!

This month we have a killer line-up. Check it:

Standard Oil is, oh I don’t know, maybe a team you maybe heard of, since they’re a UCB Harold team. Stuffed with improv vets, this team will make you laugh your pants off. Seriously, wear a belt.

And hosting this whole thing is Halle Kiefer, stand-up extraordinaire. Halle was nice enough to take a break from her regular gigs writing for VH1’s TheFabLife.com, Splitsider.com, and RollingStone.com to come share her zingers. So we’re psyched.
